Background
Woorim Beach is experiencing development and change as a direct result of the Shire’s population growth. This has an immediate influence on the quality of the local community’s lives and aspirations. Woorim-ites need to be aware of decisions and issues impacting on their way of life and can report to Council on community needs. Issues of concern are: ecosystem health, coastal management, community development and social cohesion, planning and urban development, protection of flora and fauna, tree preservation, and vandalism. Being part of a community encourages social contact and involvement and interest in local issues.
