The music of contemporary folk singer and Spanish guitarist Iarn (pronounced Yarn) shows strong influences of the music of Jose Feliciano.  A poet, artist and philosopher, Iarn draws inspiration from his years on the road, beginning in the 1960s at Brisbane’s Folk Centre in Ann Street and performing at many festivals and concerts across Australia and New Zealand.

A true artist will often create uniquely different masterpieces within a lifetime and Iarn is no exception – the diversity of tones in his music shines through in this debut album ‘The Song Poet’.

His philosophy of life is best represented in the quote from Natalie Curtis’s The Indians’ Book of 1907:
“Song is the breath of the spirit that consecrates the act of life”.
