The beautification of Woorim by the council is progressing magnificently. Already we have seen great improvements which include:
A) street upgrades with trees and other vegetation planted in the new roundabout, along the road sides and in the centre divides;
B) the planting of lawns and the upgrading of paths and bridges in Lions Park
C) car park upgrades at the Surf Club, Hotel and Public Car park
D) the planting of new lawns in Ocean Beach Park
E) lots of new fencing
F) a fabulous new children’s playground
We are now preparing for Stage 3 of the Master Plan which will take in Tintookie P:ark and barbeque area in Jacana Avenue, Acadia Avenue new roundabout, North Street and an ‘entrance statement’ to Woorim. The Sculptures from the Sculpture Symposium will also be positioned around Woorim.
