As told by Peter Meij

The Woorim Song came about when the organiser Robb Richards was arranging the ' Blessing of the Surf' Event and asked me to write a song for the event.
I felt I had to do a song with a hook that would stay in people's mind. Hear it twice and Woorim, Woorim will play in your mind.
The CD "Love Memories of the Good LIfe" has the Woorim Song as Track 1. Track 2, 'The Outside Dog' came about after a newspaper article about a dog. Track 3, 'A True Story', indirectly referring to Bribie Island particularly Woorim. Track 4, 'Love You Always' came about when I noticed a funeral notice in one of the newspapers that had some great lines in it. I wrote the song around it. The music and lyric was written in one hour.
Hope you enjoy the track 'A Song for Woorim'.
'A Song for Woorim' by Peter Meij (October, 2007)

Verse 1
Woorim, Woorim, a paradise by the sea
Woorim, Woorim, the only special place for me.
Golder beaches, rugged dunes,
It isn't hard to get caught up in its reverie.

Verse 2
Woorim, Woorim, a place that give the best to me.
Woorim, Woorim. Never-never land so near the sea.
Back to sanity, a dream so sweet
It isn't hard to realise that it will soon set you free.

Middle 8 -
The waves sound like a symphony and let's you find tranquillity
It gets you caught up in it's simplicity
Don't believe .............. come and see

Verse 3
Woorim, Woorim, its friends are easy to see
Woorim, Woorim, look at its beauty and serenity
A fishing boat, a sailing yacht
A miracle of innocence, a sky so clear and blue

Verse 4
Woorim, Woorim, the beach that is a discovery
Woorim, Woorim, a painted canvas never fails for me.
The surf side of an island, a delightful family spot
It's really great to live there, or come back frequently

REPEAT VERSE 1 AND MIDDLE 8
