WOORIM BEACH - Shoreline Erosion Management Plan - SEMP
The former Caboolture Shire Council in conjunction with the Woorim Beach SEMP Reference Group commissioned a coastal engineering survey to examine the issue of the erosion of Woorim Beach and came up with a Plan to control this erosion. The final report was handed to Council in September, 2007 and put before the Council meeting in November, 2007.
A community information session was held on 5th December, 2007 to inform residents about the Plan.
The meeting at the Bribie Island Recreation Hall gave residents an understanding of the recommendations for the future management and maintenance of the Woorim shoreline.
Dean Patterson of BMT WBM Pty Ltd, the consulting coastal engineers who produced the plan provided an overview of the plan and responded to questions.
